Using document scanners provided and maintained by ISSI
- Paper mail is received and manually sorted by addressee as it’s performed today
- Your mailroom personnel opens, preps and scans paper mail with scanners provided by ISSI into digital folders on a server
- Digital mail images are retrieved from the server by departmental contacts or delivered to recipients as email
Level 2: Automated Mail Recognition & Classification Solution
Using document scanners with ABBYY Vantage Classification
- Paper mail is scanned into email for delivery to the relevant department
- OCR technology determines the mail stop department
- OCR validation and training for mail that needs help (e.g. to confirm addressee/department or mail type)
- Email is the delivery method to the department email group
Level 3: Automated Mailbox Delivery & Cloud Storage Solution
Using document scanners + ABBYY Vantage + OnBase document management software
- Paper mail is scanned into email for delivery to the relevant department
- OCR technology determines the mail stop department
- OCR validation and training for mail that needs help (e.g. to confirm addressee/department or mail type)
- Document repository (OnBase) stores mail by document type for secure access by employees
- A mobile mail access option is available
Level 4: Automated Mail Workflow Processing
Using document scanners + ABBYY Vantage + OnBase + Workflow Automation
- Paper mail is scanned into email for delivery to the relevant department
- OCR technology determines the mail stop department
- OCR validation and training for mail that needs help (e.g. to confirm addressee/department or mail type)
- Document repository (OnBase) stores mail by document type for secure access by employees
- A mobile mail access option is available
- Mail type is delivered to one or more employees
- Mail is routed with timers
- Automated workflows engage by mail type (e.g. AP invoice processing, loan application processing)
